Sometimes I feel like Micah owns me. this is my interpretation of what he's thinking on a DAILY basis AFTER naptime

I'm sitting on the couch either falling asleep or actually asleep heaven forbid a mom gets a nap in too. And out of the corner of my eye I see a blonde haired blued little boy peeking across the living room, to see if I am indeed paying  attention and what his next course of action should be. If I  am REALLY sleeping ( gasp) He then checks if I've yet again left the kitchen gate ajar and what snack he might be able to sneak. If I am in deed awake he slips back into his room and proceeds to wake up victim number 1 aka Riah and Riah comes out of the room not knowing really what he's doing because he was just rudely awaken from a peaceful slumber, and he comes out almost tripping over his feet trying to find yet another comfy spot to lay back down because nap time just isn't quite over yet. Then once again I see that little blonde haired blue eyed little boy peeking out to see what Riah's results were for leaving the dungeon aka their bedroom. He see's Riah half asleep on the couch and proceeds on his way out thinking he will too be greeted in the same manner of being ignored and not worry that he is up before the end of naptime. and He hears Micah go back to bed and proceeds to run back into his room and make AS MUCH NOISE AS POSSIBLE waking up yep you guessed it victim #2 aka baby Jonah. Who he then gets to play the CUTE card by standing in his crib and saying BABY, BABY, BABY, DONE, PLEEEAASSEE, BABY? and I go in and pick up Jonah and he cuddles in and out to the living room we go where Riah is now completely back out and Jonah is resting calmly and then Micah comes running out and jumps on the couch blasting Riah out of his 2nd peaceful slumber and then gets sent right back to bed, where he goes BACK to sleep but only AFTER insuring that both victims are left to ensure that nap time as I know it is indeed OVER for the day SIGH

Memorial Day Weekend!

We went to Grand Junction for Memorial Day Weekend to see family of course and meet our new nephew Calvin Lee :)

We saw 4 out of the 5 of my brother's kids due to one living at JUCO haha a boy after this auntie's heart for sure. The boys had fun playing with their cousins, they seem to pair up differently every time we visit it's pretty funny to see, last time we went in March Jolie, Micah and Riah and Alex played together pretty much anytime they were together, but this time Riah and Lucy decided to have no that's mine fight which was pretty cute and they played together and Micah and TJ the oldest played together. And of course Jonah just tried to attack poor Calvin anytime I had him, he was not all about me spending time with Calvin or Lucy, it's a good thing he's the baby I don't think he would've survived being in Micah's shoes getting a new sibling at the age of 1.

I enjoyed my time quiet a bit this time I spent most of my afternoons cuddling my sweet nephew or playing with little Lucy and my mornings and evenings with my mama, I took her out to lunch and took her to see a movie one night :) Tom spent his time with his "boyfriend" as I call him most of the weekend and went hiking for most of the day.

We met some friends at the park and had a good chat and I also got to meet one of my friends brand new babies too over coffee so that was fun.

On Memorial Day we headed over to our Adoptive set of Parents/ Grandparents for a BBQ ( yummy pulled pork sandwiches :) ) The boys played the dogs in the backyard well mostly ran from them but it was fun to watch and they had tickle fights and snuggled Grandma Melenie :)

Talking and walking

A few months ago I took Riah and Jonah to my mom for the weekend and while they were there I think she found Riah's talking on button and accidentally cranked up the volume because before he barely said any words at all and a language of his own that he communicated in. But now he is a non stop talker. The other day I said Riah where's your sippy cup and he was standing in the kitchen and pointed to the sink and said it's in the sink mama, again I asked where is your sippy cup and he gave the same response and we we did this for a good 4 or 5 rounds because I wasn't listening to him telling me exactly where is sippy cup was. He talks and our jaws drop because it like uh huh on the little rascals all of a sudden he is talking and you can understand every word if you just listen. He favorite thing to say is that's silly or your silly. He is also my bug boy. We have a HORRIBLE moths at our house right now and he finds them dead or alive and picks them right up and throws them out the door or in the trash. He is fearless when it comes to that stuff... I am not looking forward to being outside this year with the creepy crawlies and witness how brave he really is. YIKES!

Jonah is finally showing a little interest in walking, he will walk with you when you hold his hands if it's his idea of course altho I don't think he's going to be walking for very long once he starts because all he really wants to do is run. I am in for it big time and I'm pretty sure he's just on the verge of taking off any day now. Jonah has also picked up on his vocabulary, and communication skills. He will now wave and say bye. Yes he is a year old and just figured this out. Well more like he just decided it was something he'd like to do. I think if he wanted to walk at 4 months he could've and he could be speaking full sentences and has by now but he is his own person and he does what he wants and watch out brothers or anyone else that blocks him from mommy, biting pinching and hitting are all fair game to him when he is on a mission.

Micah is our informant. He wants to know when, why and how about EVERYTHING and will then report back to his siblings or vise versa. His newest thing is Riah telling him no he doesn't understand that we really don't care if Riah tells him no only if he tells us no and Micah just can't wrap his little mind around it. He definitely  prides in being the big brother tho. He takes extra long turns on everything but eventually shares un asked. If you tell him to do something he immediately delegates it to Riah or at least tries to.

New Stroller, Parade, 1st camping trip,1st hair cut

I am back tracking about a week or so and don't have the pics yet so just bare with me I will post them later. We finally broke down and bought a double jogging stroller and I LOVE IT, I was a little hesitant since we have 3 kids not just 2 but Tom put a strap on one side of the stroller and Micah walks with me just fine so I think it just might work out. We did our test run on the River Walk by our house as a family a few weeks ago and it was wonderful, Micah kept up with us just fine and even after a good 45 mins of walking didn't act tired and still ran and played at the playground towards the end and finished the journey just fine.

Tom was working during Blossom this year so I took the boys to the Parade with a good friend Casey and we sat and watched our small town parade for 3 hours, Casey's dad found us a great place in the shade so the hot wasn't too un bare able but sitting on the sidewalk for that long def took a toll on my back. But the boys had fun having candy thrown their way every 2 mins and watching all the trucks go by.

We decided to go see Tom's side of the family this past weekend. Jonah had not met Tom's Aunt, Grandpa or cousins yet so we went to Denver for the day to his Grandma's house and gave them an introduction to our crazy/sweet 1 year old. Then we decided to test out the new camper that his parents just purchased and did a trail one night run in Golden that night. So that was Jonah's 1st official camping trip, even tho it was just one night and morning. I think he had fun tho, Our bed was right up against the boys bed and Jonah took full advantage of crawling right over once he woke up in the morning. The boys had fun watching the 2nd Madagascar movie in bed before night time also. Then Tom's dad made the boys Mickey Mouse Pancakes for breakfast, they thought that was pretty cool.

On Monday I reluctantly gave in and we went and got Jonah's his first hair cut, he's not a baby anymore :( . He sat in his daddy's lap and did pretty well for sitting in Tom's lap during the process. He's not a big daddy fan yet  so sitting there at all was a HUGE feat and he didn't fuss to much having his hair cut off and even let the lady use the razor on the back to make it even. I mean't to get a picture of all the boys because all 4 got hair cuts but , I forgot so maybe I'll catch a few days later pic sometime soon.

Today I decided to take my 3 hours away from children to go shopping. I went to Walgreens, City Market, ran to Walmart and then to Safeway.

I spent $110.07 between all 4 and have a TON of stuff.

Now I will show what I got at each store except Walmart and City market will be together because I price matched at Walmart when City market was out.

Walgreeens

I bought 4 sippy cups  they were on sale buy one get one 50% off and then I had a $1 manufacture coupon for 3 of them  and then an additional $2/2 Walgreens coupon  =$2.36 per cup

Then I bought 3 bags of Indian Popcorn on sale for $1.99 and I had 3 $1 off coupons
= $2.97

Next I bought 3 bags of Kettle Chips on sale for $1.99 and I had a coupon for $1 off each of those
=2.97

Finally I bought 4 bags of  medium sized M&M's
on sale for 2/6  plus there was a coupon in the May Walgreens book for a $1/2 and I also had manufacture coupons $1.50 off 2  making each bag $1.75  = $7

Altogether my total was $24.45
with a total savings of 36.56

Safeway

I bought 8 jars of Classico Spaghetti sauce/ Alfredo Sauce
There was a sale 2/$4 plus 2 free boxes of Barilla Pasta and I also had 4  $1/2 Classico sauces

So for 8 boxes of Pasta and 8 Jars of Sauce I paid $12  or if you break it down it's .75 cents a box and jar

Then I bought 5 Star Bucks refreshers  and had completely free coupons for that = free

I bought 20 boxes of Maurchan Yakisoba they were on sale for a $1 and if you looked in the Safeway add they were buy 1 get 1 free. It didn't ring up that way so I had to show the cashier but he took care of it effortlessly.  so for 20 boxes of pasta I paid $ 9.90

I bought 2 20 count bags of chips on sale for $5 and I had a $1 coupon making them $4  or .20 cents a bag
so I paid $8 for both bags

I bought 2 Frito Lay Stacks on sale for $1 and I had a .55 cents/ 2 coupon doubling to a $1  making each one .50 cents
so I paid $1.00 for both

I bought 2 boxes of Honey Nut Cherrios on sale for 1.88 and I had a $1/2 making them 1.38 a box or $2.76 for both
Lastly I bought 4 boxes of Egg Wafflers on sale for 1.99 and I had a .55 cents /2 doubled to a $1 making each box $1.49 or  5.96 for 4

My total all together was 36.97

Last but not least Walmart price match and City Market

At City market I bought 10 Protein Plus bars on sale for $.99 plus I had a $1/2 making each bar .49 cents or $4.90 for all 10

Then i got 5 Good n natural Bars
I had a completely free coupon for those making them Free

I bought 20 bags of Gold fish on sale .99 cents when you buy 10 =$19.80

Then at the cash register I noticed that Mentos Gum was on sale 10/10 and I happened to have .55 cents off  1 coupon that doubled to a dollar making them FREE

next I ran to Walmart since City Market was out of Country Time lemonade and I bought 10 and price matched to City Market for $1 and then used $1/2 making each one .50 cents  paying 5.00 for all 10

my total for both stores was $30.34

Then for fun well it was ALL fun I took a picture of all of my FREE things
Tom enjoyed  setting this one up once he got off work :)
