Christmas part 1

Our Christmas Started at about 8pm on the 23rd. We were supposed to be in the car headed to Bonnie's house but the weather wasn't going to be in our favor so we decided to stay home for the night and try again the next day. Since we wern't in the car we decided it might be a nice time to open presents for the boys. We started with the gifts from the neighbors but once we started we didn't want to stop so they opened the presents from us also. Micah was VERY cute, at his birthday we had to help him open is gifts but for Christmas all we had to do was start it for him and he quickly caught on to tearing into them all on his own. He would tear off a piece and put it in the other hand repeatedly until that hand was full and he'd drop it and find out what he just opened. We got him an accoustic guitar and some blocks and he plays with both every chance he can get. Az got a play mat to look up at pretty lights and toys, he's not real sure about it yet but he's getting used to it slowly.

Christmas Eve Day we woke up and packed for a cold drive and a possible break down and were on the road by 10:30 or 11. It was icy all the way to Gunnison but we made it thru. We stopped and had a nice lunch and gave the boys some time out of the carseats they were VERY appreciative. Micah was flirting with all the girls he saw and Az was just all smiles. We borrowed Gwah's dvd player for this trip and let Micah watch Jungle Book, made the trip a lot easier and we would just sit and listen to him try to sing along it was very cute, he can now say NECESSITIES thanks to the Jungle Book. He was very clear on what movie he wanted to watch when I switch dvd's on the way home for Madagascar Christmas. It ended and he looked at me and said NECESSITIES and pointed at the dvd player. Apparently 5 times in a row wasn't enough bear necesities for him.

We arrived in GJ just in time for Dinner for at Grandma Marianna's house where we ate and ran to make it to the last Christmas Eve service. I didn't get see more than 10 minutes of it but it was the principle of being there I guess... we were late and had to check Micah into the nursery and then Az was getting fussy so I went into the lobby and had a nice chat with a friend. Tom went to pick up Micah and he ended up being the last one because I having another nice chat with a friend and the old man was holding Micah's hand and wouldn't let him go to Tom until Tom gave him his number and apparently Micah wasn't too happy about that and gave the old man a not very nice look when he stopped him.

We had a Great Christmas this year, it was the first one that Micah didn't sleep thru present opening, Az didn't either but he had NO idea what was going on.

We had a TON of family this year Grandpa Tom and Gran, Grandma Marianna and Royce, Aunt Tricia and Uncle Craig, Eric and his brood Mom and Dad of course and our little family. We would've had more but Uncle Jeff got sick and had to stay home :( and we most def missed Jason and his family.

We still enjoyed ourselves and the boys were def spoiled with all the grandparents around. Az got to have ALL of his naps on Aunt Tricia's lap and he just ate that up.

The next day we had breakfast with some good friends and their little girl Belle who is Micah's age and got to see them play together. It was nice having someone Micah's age for him to play with. They switched sippy cups and did not want to hear that they had the wrong one.
After that Tom dropped me off at the Mall with my mom and sister for some after Christmas shooping and my friend Rachel came and joined us as well, it was a nice girls day out.

Later that night I even got to meet my friend's newest baby born on the 21st Judah. It was weird seeing a brand new baby compared to Az, he's still little to me but Judah was really little. Just shows you how fast they grow.

Unfortunately I did not get a SINGLE picture this trip but Mom and Jodi's camera's were going most fo the time so hopefully I can accumulate some pictures to share soon.
